Express Forward Set to Join Camels in the Fall of 2017

WALPOLE, MA -- Bryan Ackil, a forward for the Walpole Express, has committed to Connecticut College for the Fall of 2017. In his first season with Walpole, the '96 from Massachusetts tallied 24 points in 42 total games.

“Bryan came to us with some junior hockey experience and worked incredibly hard to put himself in a position to succeed," said Express head coach Jon Lounsbury. “Bryan’s attitude and work ethic allowed him to grow so much as a hockey player this season and he came up big this year when we needed."

Ackil joins a group of five EHL players committed to NESCAC schools for the Fall of 2017. Here are the other four players:

Ackil is eager and excited to get started with both his collegiate hockey and academic careers this Fall.

“I would like to thank my parents for their endless support," said Ackil. "They have always allowed me to to pursue my own path at my own pace and I am forever grateful. I would like to thank my prior coaches, teammates and all of those involved in my development as a player. Finally, I’d like to extend my gratitude to the Walpole Express. I couldn’t have chosen a better organization to play my final year of junior hockey with.”
