Little Flyers Forward Set to Join Bison in the Fall of 2017

ASTON, PA -- Oliver Arnberg, a forward for the Philadelphia Little Flyers, has committed to Nichols College for the Fall of 2017. In his first season with the Little Flyers, Arnberg tallied 50 points in 58 total games, including a pair of game-winning goals.

“I am very proud of Oliver for his commitment to Nichols," said Little Flyers head coach and general manager Rocky Russo. "He did a great job of adjusting to North American hockey along with being a part of a new culture. Oliver was a big part of our success this season and will do a great job both athletically and academically for Coach Burgess.”

Despite the final result, it was a special year for Arnberg and the Little Flyers. The native of Sweden took some time to give his thanks to the Little Flyers organization, and everyone else that helped him along the way.

“I'd first like to thank my family; they have helped me so much along the way so I can follow my dreams," said Arnberg. "My parents and relatives have been my biggest supporters throughout my life, especially this year while I've been playing in the United States, without them I don't think this year would have been as successful as it was. Also, I’d like to thank my family, friends and cousins for coming over seas to watch my games, it means a lot. I'd like to thank all of my coaches back in Sweden who have put in the time and effort to get me here today. Special thank you to Coach Russo, Coach Lewis and Coach Catron for helping me get better every day while I was in Philadelphia. I had some great teammates who helped me along this year, thank you guys, I hope to see you all again soon. Thank you to the Giacobbo family and the entire Little Flyers organization for everything you’ve done for me and the team. Lastly, I would like to say thank you to Nichols College Head Coach Parker Burgess for giving me this great opportunity. Nichols College is a great school that I think fits me perfectly. I am very thankful for the opportunity to attend college in the U.S. and I’m excited to get on the ice and play NCAA hockey at a highly competitive level with the Bison."
