EHL Champion Set to Join Valiants this Fall

PURCHASE, NY -- Dating back to the formation of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) in 2013, a total of 7 players have made their commitments to Manhattanville College while playing in the #Eshow. The Valiants have previously been members of the ECAC West, but this Fall they are part of the group of teams helping to launch the new United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC). The Valiants are excited about their future in the UCHC, and their coach has big expectations for his pair of incoming EHL freshmen.

"We've had numerous student-athletes that developed in the EHL," said Manhattanville head coach Arlen Marshall. "By the time they arrive at the collegiate level, they are ready and prepared to play and make an impact.”

This Fall, Mac Vail (Philadelphia Jr. Flyers) and Keegan Davis (Connecticut RoughRiders) will represent the pair of EHL commits from the 2016-17 season. In two seasons in the EHL, Davis tallied 56 points in 95 total games. For Vail, the 6'6" netminder spent three years in the #Eshow, but capped things off by winning the EHL Championship this past April. After starting the season in Connecticut, Vail joined the Jr. Flyers in mid-November, and then went on to win 26 combined games between the regular season and the playoffs. Both Vail and Davis bring a lot of potential to Manhattville.

Be sure to check back in again next week for a new EHL Pipeline of the Week.
