Holly Set to Join the Mules this Fall

WATERVILLE, ME -- Dating back to the formation of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) in 2013, a total of 6 players have made their commitments to Colby College while playing in the #Eshow. The Mules play out of the well-respected New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), and have built a strong reputation in both athletics and academics.

This Fall, Colby will welcome their newest player from the EHL, as Sean Holly (East Coast Wizards) begins his collegiate hockey career. The Mules are excited about their new defenseman, and Chris Hall (Assistant Coach), took some time to talk about the EHL.

"College hockey is a highly competitive environment with very small margins," said Hall. "College coaches are looking for players who can contribute to their lineups with good skating ability, hockey sense, and work-ethic. The EHL prepares its players for college with great coaching and player development as well as a competitive, hard-working style of play. As a recruiter, you know an EHL alum is going to bring a competitiveness and love for hockey to your locker room."

Hall's statement holds true across the league, as the teams continue to push each other throughout the course of every season. For the 2nd year in a row, the Wizards will be sending a player to Colby, and Holly took some time to recognize how he reached his ultimate goal.

"I'm excited at the prospect of joining a prestigious program such as Colby, as well as being able to play in the NESCAC division where every game is competitive," said Holly. "The highly experienced coaching staff of the Wizards taught me the importance of the minute details of the game. I learned the value of daily preparation, and how it takes a complete effort to be able to play at the next level."

Be sure to check back in on Monday, September 4th, for a new EHL Pipeline of the Week.
