Avalanche Defenseman Set to Join NESCAC in the Fall of 2018

HOOKSETT, NH -- Connor Kucharski, a defenseman for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to Williams College for the Fall of 2018. The '99 joined the Avalanche a couple weeks ago, and has an assist to his name in the first five games.

“Connor is a good skating and good puck moving defenseman," said Avalanche head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "Spending a year with us will give him the development he will need to prepare for hockey in the NESCAC. Williams is not only a top-notch academic school, but they also have a very good Division III program. Connor has not only put in the time on the ice, but even more importantly in the classroom.”

Kucharski is the 3rd commit of the season for the EHL, and the 2nd commit of the year for the Avalanche. Along with Christopher Adamsons, New Hampshire already has a pair of players set to join NESCAC programs. The native of Ohio is looking forward to joining Williams next Fall, and knows this season will be very important leading into his first year of college hockey.

“I’m extremely excited to become a part of the Williams family next year," said Kucharski. "To study at a school with that kind of reputation and to play on a team that consistently is at the top of the NESCAC is a blessing. I’m ready to get to work this year with the Avalanche, to develop both on and off the ice, and prepare myself to become a big minutes player as soon as I step on the ice in Williamstown."
