November: Fuss -- O’Connor -- Henson

BOSTON, MA -- In less than 24 hours we will turn the page over to December, and the final month of the 2017 calendar year. Looking back at November in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), there was tons of great action amongst the 16 teams and numerous candidates for the latest set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Month.

The EHL is pleased to announce that Jake Fuss (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights), Colin O’Connor (Connecticut RoughRiders), and Alex Henson (Philadelphia Little Flyers) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Month for November.

The Stars of the Month will all receive a $20 TSR Hockey gift certificate.

Scroll down to read about each player's November performances, and remember to catch the #Eshow action all year long on HockeyTV.

FORWARD - Jake Fuss (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights)

Fuss led the EHL in scoring in November, averaging 2.12 points per game in seven contests for the Knights. The '98 native of Connecticut finishes the month of November ranked 4th in the league in scoring, just one point back of the three players who are tied for the top spot. Fuss does however, hold a lead in the goal category, as he currently ranks as the top scorer with 24 goals so far this season. Focusing in on November in particular, Fuss' 17 points helped paved the way for the Knights to battle their way back into the playoff mix. As December begins, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is currently in 3rd place in the Mid-Atlantic Division and would be the #4 seed in the South Conference if the playoffs started today. Fuss will look to continue to lead his team in the final month of the calendar year, with seven more games on the schedule.

DEFENSEMAN - Colin O’Connor (Connecticut RoughRiders)

O'Connor led the EHL in defensive scoring with a solid 1.33 points per game average in November. The '98 is in his first season in the EHL, and has 21 total points in 22 total games so far this season. The Connecticut native has filled the void of one of the RoughRiders all-time leading scorers, Marc Happy, who is now manning the blue line up at Plymouth State. O'Connor will look to continue to lead the way for the RoughRiders, as they begin December with an 11-point lead in the Central Division. The December schedule includes seven more games for the RoughRiders, with just three of them in the friendly home confines of the SoNo Ice House.

GOALTENDER - Alex Henson (Philadelphia Little Flyers)

Henson owned a perfect 4-0-0 record in November, and still only has one blemish to his name since joining the Little Flyers in mid-October. The young netminder, born in January of 2000, even picked up an his own assist on November 8th against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers. Henson without a doubt turned his season around in November, and paired with Brendahn Brawley, the two Little Flyers goaltenders led their team to a 6-2-0 record in eight games. Both losses for the Little Flyers were by just a single goal, and of the team's six losses so far this season, 66% of them have been by that tight of a margin. Henson will look to continue anchoring his team, with eight total games on the schedule in December.
