Seahawks Forward Set to Join Mustangs in the Fall of 2018

HYANNIS, MA -- Austin Roy, a forward for the Total Athletics Seahawks, has committed to Morrisville State for the Fall of 2018.  The '97 is in his first season in the EHL, and has tallied 17 points in 29 total games so far this year.

"Austin has really transformed as a player in the first half of the year," said Seahawks head coach and general manager Bill Zaniboni. "He has some nice skill and speed, complimented by a nice shot, but has really adapted his game in all 3 zones to be hard to play against and understands the accountability that is needed to play at the next level."

Back in the Summer, Austin Roy was the first player to sign with Seahawks ahead of their inaugural season in the EHL. The native of Lewiston, ME is very happy with the decision that he made and took some time to reflect on his commitment to join the Mustangs.

"I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me and giving me the opportunity to pursue college hockey," said Roy. "I would also like to thank former coaches Parker, Gray, Ward, and Moore for helping me develop as a player and person. I would also like to thank the Seahawks organization from the Owners, to the President, and Coach Zaniboni for preparing and turning me into the player and man I knew I could be."
