BOSTON, MA -- In his first season with the Northeastern Huskies, Cayden Primeau owns a record of 7-3-2 between the pipes, and that includes a 4-0-1 mark from the month of December. The undefeated performance earned Primeau a pair of honors, including being named the Hockey East Goaltender of the Month and the College Hockey Inc. Rookie of the Month.
Primeau's stellar month of December helped move the Huskies up to #2 in the Hockey East standings and #8 in the USCHO Division I Men's Poll. Primeau stopped 135 shots in the 5 games, which was good for the nation's third-best goals against average at 1.19, and sixth-best save percentage at .957. The native of New Jersey allowed just 1 goal against in 4 of his 5 starts, and in the other contest, he only let 2 tallies get past him.
The former Philadelphia Revolution netminder experienced a couple bumps early on, but has settled in well as the starter for Northeastern. Primeau and the Huskies will return to action tonight as they begin a home-and-home series against Bentley University.
