Knights Forward Set to Join Monarchs in the Fall of 2018

WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON, PA -- J.P. Natishan, a forward for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, has committed to the King's College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 is in his first season in the EHL, after spending this past season in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP). To date this season, the native of Shavertown, PA has 3 goals and 3 assists to his name.

“J.P. is the hardest worker out there,” said Knights head coach Josh Fusco. “He’s a leader who sets the tone for our guys on the ice, in workouts, and in the locker room. He’ll run through a wall for you. I lose count of how many shots J.P. gets down in front of each game. He’s a player we turn to in big moments. He grinds out every shift. He’s a guy you love to have on your roster.”

Natishan has come a long way throughout his junior hockey career, after racking up 29 points in 38 games this past season in the EHLP. Going into this year, Natishan only had one thing on his mind, and he took some time to reflect on his commitment to join the Monarchs.

“I felt like I was at home,” said Natishan of his experience visiting the King’s College campus. “I’m from this area. The campus is beautiful. I know what they’re about as a school and I’m excited to be a part of that. I’ve seen Kings play this year, they’re a great group of guys. They’re a really hard-working team. I think I fit that. I work hard, I like to play penalty kill, I block a lot of shots. I know I can bring that to their line up.”
