Express Forward Set to Join Wildcats in the Fall of 2018

WALPOLE, MA -- Bryan Colburn, a forward for the Walpole Express, has committed to Johnson and Wales University for the Fall of 2018. After spending the 2016-17 season playing for the Express in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP), the '99 has transitioned well to the EHL level. Through 31 games so far this season Colburn has tallied 35 total points, and that includes 5 game-winning goals.

“Bryan came to us via the Express Premier team and has proved his ability to score goals at any level," said Express head coach and general manager Jon Lounsbury. "Bryan has been a spark for us since day one. His ability to score and control the pace of the game is second to none.”

This past season at the EHLP level, the Rhode Island native finished 2nd on his team in scoring with 45 points in 41 regular season games. Colburn is excited about his future, and took some time to thank those who've helped him along the way.

“I would like to thank the Walpole Express for an incredible 2 seasons of hockey. I am very excited to continue my academic and athletic career at Johnson and Wales University," said Colburn. "Thank you to my family for giving me the opportunity to chase my dream of playing hockey at the NCAA level."
