EHL All-Star Set to Join Beacons this Fall

WALPOLE, MA -- Chris Peters, a forward for the Walpole Express, has committed to UMass Boston for the Fall of 2018. After racking up 57 points in 50 total games for the Express last season, Peters has crossed over the 100-point plateau with 63 points in his first 36 games so far this year.

“Peters came to us two seasons ago and has worked incredibly hard to get where he is today. He is a natural leader and has some of the best playmaking abilities I have ever seen at this level. His IQ and competitiveness are second to none," said Express head coach and general manager Jon Lounsbury. "Peters is certainly a guy I'll struggle to replace, not only is he the best playmaker in the league, but he has done an incredible job leading this young group."

The native of Rochester, NY has truly developed in his time in the EHL, and this season, was a member of the All-Star Team that took on the Beacons back in October. Peters went on a visit of UMass Boston that day, and since then it's been just a matter of making the deal official. The '97 forward took some time to reflect on his decision and thank those that have helped him along the way.

“I would like to thank my family, friends, and all the boys for the support over the years. I would also like to thank the staff at the Walpole Express, especially Coach Lounsbury and Coach Polino for all the extra work invested in me and the team everyday," said Peters.
