Wolves Netminder Set to Join Falcons this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Chris Mattone, a goaltender for the New England Wolves, has committed to Fitchburg State for the Fall of 2018. In his first season with the Wolves, the '97 has stood on his head multiple times throughout the year. Heading into today's matchup with the Valley Jr. Warriors, the native of New York owns an overall record of 9-8-2 for the season.

"Chris came into our program after having spent the previous two years in other organizations developing his game," said Wolves head coach and general manager Andrew Trimble. "He brings an upbeat and winning mentality, with great energy He has the ability to steal games with his compete level and conditioning."

Mattone is the second commit of the season for the Wolves, joining Roger Powers, who committed to SUNY Canton this past month. The Wolves are currently just two points behind the Warriors for the 6th and final playoff spot in the North Conference, and there is no doubt that Mattone will be leaned on heavily in the final 10 games of the regular season.
