Rangers Forward Set to Join Huskies this Fall

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Bobby Kinsey, a forward for the Boston Jr. Rangers, has committed to the University of Southern Maine for the Fall of 2018. Kinsey is in his second season in the EHL, and first with the Rangers. To date, the '97 has 19 points in 29 games this season, following last night's four-point performance against the New England Wolves.

"We are excited for Bobby," said Rangers head coach and general manager Rich DeCaprio. "It’s a great accomplishment for him to reach his goal of playing college hockey. He’s worked very hard and has reaped the rewards of his dedication and commitment to the game. We wish him the best of luck in Maine!"

Kinsey is on pace to to surpass his 2016-17 season that saw him tally 22 total points. The native of Pittsburgh, PA took some time to reflect on his decision and thank those that helped him along the way.

“It’s been a good year for me with the Rangers, being able to play good minutes and be a leader on the team," said Kinsey. "I’m excited to be able to play my college hockey for Coach Harding and commit to a good school and program."
