Avalanche Forward Set to Join Teammate this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- James Pollock, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to Bryn Athyn College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 is in his first season in the EHL, and he racked up 18 total points in the regular season.

"Jimmy plays with fire, and when he does that, he is fun to watch," said Avalanche head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He had a rough go with an injury that slowed him down a bit, but I think he is ready for the next level. I think he is going to fit in Bryn Athyn's line up nicely next season. I am very excited for him, and I think it is a great fit both on the ice and in the classroom."

When Pollock arrives on campus, he won't be alone, as he will already be close with one of his teammates. Devin Hines made his commitment to join the Lions back in late December. The native of New Jersey took some time to reflect and thank those who helped him along the way.

"I would like to thank the Avalanche organization, Coach Cerrella, and Coach Martiniello for helping me achieve this opportunity," said Pollock. "I would also like to thank my family, friends, and teammates for making this all possible. I am very excited to be heading to Bryn Athyn to continue my academic and hockey career. GO LIONS!"

The Avalanche are sitting comfortably for the time being, as they earned a First Round bye in the EHL Playoffs. While their first playoff game feels like it's a long ways away, Pollock and his teammates know that they have to be ready from the opening puck drop of the Second Round.
