Avalanche Forward Set to Join Oles this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- Tyler Uravage, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to St. Olaf College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 is in his first season in the EHL, and he racked up 38 total points, including four game-winning goals in the regular season.

"Uravage is a great young man and a very good hockey player," said Avalanche head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He skates well, he is strong on the puck, and has a mind for the game. It has been fun coaching him this season and I am expecting big things from him the rest of this year and at St.Olaf. It's a great fit for Tyler and I wish him and his family nothing but the best."

Uravage is the 8th player in EHL history to commit to join the Oles, and he's the first to do so since 2015. The native of Hudson, PA has both great scoring and passing ability, and the Avalanche will be leaning on him for offense in the playoffs. Uravage took some time to reflect and thank all those who helped him reach this point.

"I would like to thank my family, friends, and teammates I have had over the years for their support throughout my hockey career," said Uravage. "Furthermore, a special thanks to the Avalanche organization for preparing me to take a step to the next level. Head Coach Chris Cerrella and Assistant Coach Mario Martiniello are already proving a prolific start to the new organization and I could not thank them both enough. Finally, a special thank you to my Dad and Nicole Theodore, without them none of this would be possible. I am very excited to join the Ole community both academically and athletically. ROLL OLES!"
