Lange, Manning, and Parker Earn EHL Weekly Honors

BOSTON, MA - The regular season has come to an end in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). This final week featured 17 intriguing matchups, as teams finalized their seeds for the EHL Playoffs. With all 16 teams in action, there were plenty of worthy candidates for our weekly honors.

The EHL is pleased to announce that Brian Lange (Philadelphia Revolution), Patrick Manning (Vermont Lumberjacks), and Ben Parker (Boston Jr. Rangers) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Week. 

The first round of the EHL Playoffs will start on Wednesday, March 7th. Catch all the #Eshow playoff action live on HockeyTV.


Forward - Brian Lange (Philadelphia Revolution)

Lange and the Revolution went a perfect 4-0-0 this past week on their way to claiming the 2017-18 Regular Season Championship. The '97 had five goals and eight assists in the wins, including a seven-point game against the New York Bobcats Royals this past Saturday. After the huge week, the native of Brick, NJ finished the regular season with 13 goals and 29 assists (42 points) in just 33 games for the Revolution. Along with the Regular Season Championship, Philadelphia has earned the #1 seed in the South Conference, and now they get chance to rest and prepare during their First Round bye in the EHL Playoffs. 


DEFENSEMAN - Patrick Manning (Vermont Lumberjacks)

Manning and the Lumberjacks won their final two games of the regular season on Wednesday and Sunday. The defensemen started off by recording his first hat-trick of the year in the Lumberjacks 5-4 overtime win against the East Coast Wizards. The future Anna Maria College Amcat, then added an assist to his weekly totals in a win against the Toal Athletics Seahawks. The '97 finished the regular season as the Lumberjacks' leading defensive scorer with 19 goals and 23 assists (42 points). Manning and the Lumberjacks will start the First Round of the EHL Playoffs this upcoming Wednesday against the Wizards as the #5 seed in the North Conference


Goaltender - Ben Parker (Boston Jr. Rangers)

The Rangers won both of their games this week and Parker was between the pipes for their win on Saturday against the Total Athletics Seahawks. The '98 netminder made 42 out of a possible 43 saves in the 5-1 victory. The native of Ashland, MA finished the 2017-2018 regular season with a 12-2-0 record, along with a stellar 2.08 GAA and a 9.32 save percentage. The Rangers have earned a First Round bye in the EHL Playoffs as they wait to find out who their first opponent will be.


HONORABLE MENTIONS - Schuett and Verboys

The EHL would also like to recognize a pair of honorable mentions this week starting with Dylan Schuett of the East Coast Wizards. The 2000 extended his point streak out to league-record 22 games this past week, putting up seven points in the Wizards' final three games. The native of Canada recorded his first hat-trick of the season in a win against the New England Wolves on Friday. 

Joseph Verboys of the New York Applecore put together a six-point game in a win against the Connecticut Oilers this past Saturday. The native of Suffern, NY, has 32 points in just 24 games for the Applecore this season.
