Warriors Forward Set to Join New Program this Fall

HAVERHILL, MA -- Josh Malin, a forward for the Valley Jr. Warriors, has committed to Anna Maria College for the Fall of 2018. The '97 just finished his first season in the EHL, and he notched a pair of goals and a pair of assists to his name.

“He plays hard, he practices hard, he’s an energetic and positive kid,” said Warriors head coach and general manager Andy Heinze. “His positive demeanor on the bench really helped us in a few situations where we might have been out of the game, but he wasn’t going to let that happen as far as his attention to what he was trying to get accomplished.”

After starting the season with the Total Athletics Seahawks, Malin joined the Warriors in mid-December. In his very first game with Valley, the native of Sherwood, OR scored the game-winner against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers. Malin took some time to reflect and give his thanks.

“The Warriors coaching staff put me in the best situation possible to succeed and pursue my college hockey goals," said Malin. "I want to thank the Valley Jr. Warriors organization for bringing me in and giving me the tools to grow as a hockey player. Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years including friends, family, teammates, and coaches that have been along throughout my junior career."
