Wolves and Warriors Face-Off in Crucial North Conference Matchup

BOSTON, MA -- We're down to the final two weeks in the regular season in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), and 32 games remain on the schedule. The week ahead includes 15 matchups through Monday, starting this afternoon at 12:00pm.

Valley Jr. Warriors vs. New England Wolves
Saturday, February 24th - 6:30pm (Merrill Fay Arena)

It’s a battle for the #6 seed, and the final playoff spot in the North Conference. The Wolves begin the week with the lead, and hold the tiebreakers over both teams chasing them in the standings (Warriors and Total Athletics Seahawks). Saturday’s matchup could very likely determine who’s in and who’s out in the postseason. The Wolves have controlled the season series with the Warriors, as they go into this matchup with a record of 4-1-0 in five games against their division rival.

Below you can follow the box scores for all 15 games this week. The next set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Week will be released on Monday, February 26th at 4:00pm. Catch the #Eshow action all season long on HockeyTV.

Dangueuger Commits to Western New England

Rangers Captain Joining Golden Bears this Fall

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Damien Dangueuger, a defenseman for the Boston Jr. Rangers, has committed to Western New England for the Fall of 2018. Dangueuger has been with the Rangers since the start of the 2015-16 season. The native of France spent that season and the first half of last year with the Rangers' Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) team, and since then has been a key figure on the blue line for the Rangers' EHL team. The captain has 23 points in 46 games so far this year.

"Damien came to us three years ago and played on our Premier team," said Rangers head coach and general manager Rich DeCaprio. "He’s the pure example of climbing the ladder of development. He went from being a depth D on our EHLP team, to the captain of our EHL team, and now will continue his development playing college hockey at a great school. His work ethic and leadership qualities are top notch. We are very happy for him."

DeCaprio talked about the development of his leader over the past few seasons, and that also includes representing his country at the World Junior Championships. The veteran defenseman took some time to reflect on his decision and thank all of those who helped him along the way.

“I am very excited to attend Western New England University next Fall," said Dangueuger. "I want to thank my family, Coach DeCaprio, Coach Blair, and my teammates who helped me grow into the person and player that I am. I’ve been with the Rangers for the past three years and I couldn’t have been any happier. I'm looking forward to being a part of the Golden Bears family for the next four years! Go Golden Bears!”
