Philadelphia Hockey Club 6 – Vermont Lumberjacks 2: Philadelphia opened up Day Three with a 6-2 win, and 15 different skaters recorded at least a point in the game. Stephen Schaeffer and Sebastian Novin put Philadelphia up 2-0 in the first half, and the Lumberjacks responded with a goal from Brayson Bennett, but PHC ultimately took over in the second with three unanswered goals. Nick Vinson had a goal and an assist while goaltender Logan Herguth earned his first EHL win by stopping 22 of 24 shots. 

Bridgewater Bandits 7 – Connecticut RoughRiders 1: After getting shut out in Day Two, the Bandits offense erupted with seven goals against the RoughRiders. Brennan Lopes gave Bridgewater a 1-0 lead early in the first half, and the RoughRiders responded with a goal from Stepan Sidorkin. The Bandits took over from there, scoring six unanswered goals including a hat trick from JJ Dean. Christian Golic recorded three helpers and Lorenz Hofer earned the win by making 21 saves. 

Boston Jr. Eagles 5 – HC Rhode Island 3: The Jr. Eagles turned a 3-0 deficit into a 5-3 victory by scoring five unanswered in the second half. John Cronin, Mike Bianco and Austin Haldane scored in the first half to put Rhode Island up by three. Nick Haust and Brady Clark scored early in the second half to bring the Eagles within a goal, then Cullen Lacey and Clark struck 54 seconds apart to take the lead. Caden Pasqualone made 22 saves in the win as the Jr. Eagles improve to 3-2-0.

Boston Jr. Terriers 6 – New York Apple Core 3: The Jr. Terriers won their second straight game with a 6-3 victory over New York. Nathaniel McFarlane scored his first goal of the season to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead at the half. Dale Campbell, Emmanuel Gomez and Dan Cardozo scored in the second half to increase the lead to 4-0, but Apple Core forward Robbie Nolan scored a hat trick to keep the game close. Kenny Thurston and Nolan Gentry tacked on goals for Boston late in the game to seal the victory.

Philadelphia Little Flyers 4 – Seahawks Hockey Club 3 (F/OT): The Little Flyers earned its first win of the season in dramatic fashion, knocking down the Seahawks 4-3 in overtime. Both teams traded goals in the first half; Alexis Detcheverry opened the scoring while Cory Kashul netted two goals in the first half. Cyril Jebousek and Steve Mense scored for Philadelphia in the opening half, then Matthew Bellopede evened the score at 3-3 in the second half. In overtime, Jebousek stole the puck in the neutral zone and scored on the breakaway for the OT winner and his second of the game. 

Boston Dukes 3 – Valley Jr. Warriors 2 (F/OT): Alex Cameron scored a power-play goal in overtime to seal a 3-2 win for the Dukes. Austin Peterson opened the scoring for the Warriors, but the Dukes responded with goals from Tyler Barnes and Elijah Nieves, and Boston took a 2-1 lead into the half. Nick Karczmiarz knotted the score at two with his second goal of the season, and the game would go into overtime. On the man advantage, Cameron fired a wrist shot that ricocheted off a defenseman and into the net to seal the Dukes’ second win of the season.

New England Wolves 3 – Pennsylvania Huntsmen 2: The Wolves scored three goals in the first half and fended off a comeback effort from the Huntsmen in the second half. Felipe-Miguel Miron, Jack Kovacs and Joseph Bastien-Picard found the back of the net for New England. Pennsylvania got on the board with a shorthanded goal from Damon Warren, then David Cook scored two minutes later to cut the deficit to one. The Wolves managed to lock it down late in the half as goaltender Julian Karagiannis finished the game with 23 saves.

Express Hockey Club 1 – New Jersey 87’s 0: Alex Koenig stole the show with a 32-save shutout in a 1-0 win over the 87’s. Erik Bjornson scored early in the first half, netting his first goal of the season, and that’s all the Express needed to earn the win. New Jersey outshot the Express 18-8 in the first half and 14-8 in the second half, but the New Jersey skaters were unable to solve the veteran goaltender Koenig. It was the second straight game where the 87’s were shut out, and conversely it was the second straight shutout for the Express. 

New Jersey Bears 3 – New Hampshire Avalanche 2 (F/SO): The Bears earned their fifth win of the season as they knocked down the Avalanche in a shootout. New Hampshire took a 1-0 lead in the first half with a goal from Ryan O’Leary, but the Bears scored twice in the second period to force overtime. Patrick Dixon made it 1-1 early in the second half while Massimilliano Scotto-Di-Carlo tallied a power-play goal to make it 2-2. Bears goaltender Ryan Hacker was brilliant in overtime and made a miraculous kick save on a net-front scramble, and the game went to a shootout. Owen House, who was held pointless for the first time this season, came through with the lone shootout goal in the third round.

Union Jr. Thunder 3 – Express Hockey Club 2: Union earned its second win of the season in a back-and-forth affair with the Express. Both teams traded a pair of goals in the first half; Sviatoslov Antipkin and Cooper Grossguth scored for the Express while Drew Trask and Marco Morra scored for the Thunder. Shane Culley scored early in the second half and it stood as the game winner, and goaltender Nathan Kelly stymied the Express’ attack with 35 saves on 37 shots.

New England Wolves 6 – New Jersey 87’s 4: In a battle between the undefeated teams, the Wolves came out on top in an offensive showdown. The Wolves took a 2-0 lead with goals from Charles-Etienne Roy and Alan Urbis, but the 87’s responded with four unanswered goals. Alec Osher, Sean Elbrecht, Aliaksei Liseyenka and Chris Erasmus all scored for New Jersey, but the Wolves responded with four goals of their own. Zach Spicuzza scored two goals to erase the deficit, then David Klaus and Cam Plumb tacked on two more to seal the win and improve the Wolves’ record to 5-0-0.

Pennsylvania Huntsmen 5 – Vermont Lumberjacks 2: The Huntsmen scored three goals in the first half to set the tone against Vermont, getting goals from Christian Starr, Bram Rohrbach and Alex Krechmoyer. Kaeden Batth and James Greene netted goals for the Lumberjacks in the second half, but the Huntsmen scored two goals of their own with Aiden Reedy and James Mirigliano finding the back of the net. 

Providence Capitals 8 – Philadelphia Little Flyers 0: Nolan Quirk scored a natural hat trick in the Caps’ 8-0 win over the Little Flyers. Luke Zabriskie gave Providence a 1-0 lead early in the first and the team never looked back, and goaltender Austin Neill finished the game with an 18-save shutout. Alex Dyer had a pair of assists in the win, and Providence improves their record to 4-3-1.

New Jersey Renegades 4 – Seahawks Hockey Club 2: Elijah Trask had a pair of goals against the Seahawks, as the Renegades earned their first win of the season. David Brown and Matt Tavares also scored for New Jersey while Eli Caine earned the victory in goal. Carson Low and Austin Bonebright found the back of the net for the Seahawks, but Tavares’ goal in the second half helped seal the win for the Renegades.

Vermont Lumberjacks 2 – Union Jr. Thunder 0: Vermont bounced back from its earlier loss against the Huntsmen with a 2-0 win over Union. James Greene scored both goals for the Lumberjacks and goaltender Blake Leighton made 31 saves for the shutout. Logan Powell stopped 22 of 23 shots for the Jr. Thunder; he was pulled for the extra attacker but Greene cashed in on the empty net for his second goal of the game. 

Adirondack Jr. Thunder 5 – Bridgewater Bandits 4: The Jr. Thunder came through in a high-octane, offensive matchup against the Bandits. Bridgewater was leading 3-2 at the end of the half, but Adirondack scored three straight in the second half to take the lead. Quinn Wimer had a goal and two assists for the Thunder, and Bridgewater forward Blake Borelli had a pair of goals in the contest. Adirondack’s win over the Bandits extended its winning streak to four games.

Express Hockey Club 5 – New Jersey Renegades 1: Cooper Grossguth had a three-point game as the Express split their doubleheader today and defeated the Renegades. New Jersey scored first on a goal from David Brown, but the Express scored five unanswered, getting goals from Will Link, Derek Lewis, Sviatoslav Antipkin, Nick Gainey and Grossguth. Ben Ashton was solid in goal for the Express, as they improve their record to 2-2-1. 

Valley Jr. Warriors 4 – Pennsylvania Huntsmen 1: The Warriors scored three goals in the first half and tacked on one more in the second as they cruised to a 4-1 win over Pennsylvania. Paris Speller had a goal and an assist while Anthony Beausang, Jonathan Keefe and Jack Stewart also found the back of the net. Braden Kozlowski scored the only goal for the Huntsmen, as they settled for a split in their Day 3 doubleheader.

New England Wolves 6 – New Jersey Bears 1: Zach Spicuzza recorded a natural hat trick in the Wolves’ big win over the Bears. In New England’s double header against the 87’s and Bears, Spicuzza finished the day with a total of five goals and one assist. Cam Plumb, Lukas Marek and Andis Rupeiks also scored for the Wolves while Andy Trottier made 16 saves.

Seahawks Hockey Club 6 – CT Nor’Easter AAA Academy 0: The Seahawks closed out Day 3 of the showcase by blanking the Nor’Easter 6-0. Huero Rivera scored two goals and Austin Bonebright notched three assists in the win. Will Rose earned the shutout and the Seahawks split their doubleheader, and they improve their record to 4-2-0.
