Wolves Veteran Goaltender Set to Join Golden Gusties this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Will McEwen, a goaltender for the New England Wolves, has committed to Gustavus Adolphus College for the fall of 2019.

The '98 native of North Brandford, CT joined the Wolves in late January, and won a pair of games for his team down the stretch. In total, McEwen made seven total starts for the Wolves, and notched over 40 saves in each appearance that he made.

"Will had junior experience and came into our program and immediately breathed some new life," said Wolves general manager Andrew Trimble. "He had some outstanding games for our EHL team this season. We are proud of his accomplishment and wish him tremendous success at the next level."

As Trimble mentioned, McEwen arrived towards the end of the year, but provided a quick spark for his team. The veteran goaltender's very first start came on an important benefit night for the organization, and McEwen did his part in a 40-save winning effort against the Connecticut Chiefs.

McEwen is the first Wolves player from the 2018-19 team to make his NCAA Commitment, and he's the 6th player in league history to choose the Golden Gusties hockey program.
