104 NCAA Commitments Since 2013

BOSTON, MA -- Dating back to the first season of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), a total of 104 players have made their NCAA Commitment to a school that plays out of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

The CCC is made up of the following eight NCAA Division III programs:

  • Becker College
  • Curry College
  • Endicott College
  • Nichols College
  • Salve Regina University
  • University of New England
  • Wentworth Institute of Technology
  • Western New England University

Each school has recruited at least a pair of individuals from the league, with 11 more players set to join the conference and begin their collegiate hockey careers this fall.

While the schools have their athletic similarities, they also have their differences in terms of academics. Similar to how EHL coaches look to find the best fit for each player, the CCC coaches are out in search of the individuals that will fit in the best with their programs, both athletically and academically.

"Over the course of my time at Nichols, the EHL and the coaches in the league have been totally committed to the advancement of their players. The teams in the league do a tremendous job developing their players, creating the best path for their players to college hockey, and promoting their players to programs that they will succeed in. We have a number of EHL alumni on our roster and look forward to continuing our relationship with the EHL and the coaches and teams in the league.” -- Parker Burgess (Head Coach - Nichols College)

From the showcases, to the strong relationships established with the coaches, the CCC loves how professional the EHL is run from top to bottom. Each coach has offered their own version of praise over the years, and has plans to attend this year's EHL Showcase Series.

Through these league-wide events, the EHL expects more players to commit to schools within the conference, building off a 2018-19 campaign that saw 11 players throughout the league commit to join programs in the CCC.
