The EHL to NEHC Pipeline
121 NCAA Commitments Since 2013
BOSTON, MA -- Dating back to the first season of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), a total of 121 players have made their NCAA Commitment to a school that plays out of the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC).
The NEHC is made up of the following ten NCAA Division III programs:
- Babson College
- Castleton University
- Hobart College
- Johnson & Wales University
- University of Massachusetts Boston
- New England College
- Norwich University
- Skidmore College
- Suffolk University
- University of Southern Maine
Each of the ten schools has recruited at least five athletes from the EHL, with nine more players set to join the conference and begin their collegiate hockey careers this fall.
The NEHC is well-known as one of the top Division III leagues in the country, and this has been proven with at least one member of the conference advancing to the Frozen Four in three of the past four seasons. This past year alone, the NEHC saw two programs (Hobart and Norwich) reach the biggest stage in Division III hockey.
As for alumni that have advanced to the NEHC and brought great levels of success with them, look no further than Todd Jackson.
The '95 forward was one of the top scorers in the EHL during his time with the Connecticut RoughRiders, and that touch carried over when he arrived at Norwich. In his freshmen season, Jackson played a key role in the team's offense, and tallied in the game-winning goal in the 2017 National Championship game.
Jackson connected with Norwich through the EHL Showcase Series, as these league-wide events are always heavily attended by coaches from the NEHC.

With the improvement of the series, the number of players advancing has increased every year.

Nathan Pickett - Suffolk University (New Hampshire Avalanche)
Cam St. Amand - Johnson & Wales University (Seahawks Hockey Club)
Max Rand - Suffolk University (Walpole Express)
Nick Ritmo - University of Southern Maine (New Hampshire Avalanche)
