BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is pleased to announce the roster for the 2019 All-Star Team that will be taking on Fitchburg State, Salem State, and UMass Boston. This season marks the 3rd straight year of the EHL facing-off against an NCAA opponent, and the #Eshow is the only junior league in the United States that features this unique opportunity.
"This event has grown each and every year," said Neil Ravin, the league's Director of Communications. "From just a single game our first year, to two games last year, and now three games this season; we are all looking forward to seeing how this year's group matches up against NCAA competition. The All-Star Week is a true test for 31 of our players to show that they are ready to take their game to the next level."
This year's roster features an individual from every team, along with a nice mixture of new and veteran players. At the foundation of the team, there are four players who are each in their third season in the league, and this group will serve as the captains for this year's squad.
"We are going to lean on these four individuals to lead the group," said Team EHL head coach Chris Cerrella. "DJ [Schwenke] has played in this event before, so he knows what to expect, and we have no doubt that he will guide our team through that experience."
Below you'll find the roster for the 2019 EHL All-Star team, along with a brief schedule of events. Along with the three exhibition matchups, Team EHL will hit the ice for a practice and two morning skate sessions. Off the ice, Team EHL will go on a handful of campus tours, and take in recruiting seminars at each location.
