The Goal is Simple for the 87s, Advance to Providence

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is pleased to release the second episode of the new #Eshow Podcast. This week's episode features the 1st-place team in the Mid-Atlantic Conference, the New Jersey 87s.

Adam Houli and Matthew Kiernan are the co-owners and co-coaches for the organization that's only in their 3rd year of operating a junior hockey franchise. However, based off of their successes to date, you would never had guessed that.

As for the player on this week's podcast, Andrew Maynard is in his 2nd season with the 87's, and may be the most improved player in the EHL this year. After tallying 24 points in 33 games last season, Maynard already has 43 points in 26 games to date this year.

Maynard also played a big role on the 2019 EHL All-Star Team, and shortly thereafter made his commitment to Tufts University.

Whether it's Houli, Kiernan, Maynard, or any of the other returners, the motivation is consistent this year. March is circled on the calendar, and the goal is to have both teams (EHL and EHLP) advance to Providence.
