RoughRiders Veteran Defenseman Set to Join Hawks this Fall

NORWALK, CT -- Connor Snowdy, a defenseman for the Connecticut RoughRiders, has committed to Saint Anselm College for the fall of 2020.

The '99 native of Cary, NC is in his second season with the RoughRiders, and to date, he's tallied 20 points throughout his career in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

"Connor is confident and poised with the puck and is an excellent passer and playmaker for our team," said RoughRiders head coach and general manager Eric Lind. "He has a strong stride to jump into play offensively and his edge work is solid as well. He has demonstrated he can handle big minutes this season and has showed he can play an all-situations on the ice.”

Snowdy is the 105th player in league history to commit to a school in the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10), that consists of seven total teams competing at the NCAA Division II level.

With his commitment now official, Snowdy can turn his full attention towards helping the RoughRiders make a run towards the 2020 EHL Frozen Finals in Providence, RI. Connecticut is currently in 3rd place in the Mid-Atlantic Conference standings, just three points behind the 2nd-place Philadelphia Revolution, and also with a game in hand.
