Avalanche Forward Set to Join Falcons this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- Cole Archambeault, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to Fitchburg State for the fall of 2020.

The '99 native of Lunenburg, MA, is in his second season with the Avalanche, and to date, he's tallied 49 total points in 61 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

"I am very excited for Cole as he prepares for the next chapter in his athletic and academic careers," said EHL head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He has really put a lot of time into his game on the ice and in the weight room, and it has paid off. He is going to be a great addition to Fitchburg State on the ice, off the ice, and in the academic community. I wish Cole and his family the best in the future."

Even though Archambeault missed a portion of the season due to injury, he's still contributed well offensively when he's been in the lineup. To date this year, the veteran forward has 19 points in 24 total games. Archambeault is ecstatic over his decision, and can't wait to get started this fall.

"I am excited to continue my academic and athletic careers at Fitchburg State University," said Archambeault. "Growing up near Fitchburg I have always been a big fan of their program, and am looking forward to joining the Falcons as a part of their team next year. I’d like to thank my family, teammates, and coaches for their continuous support. A special thanks to Coach Cerrella, Coach Martiniello, and Coach Caliguiri for all they have done for me. I'm extremely happy to be a Falcon for the next four years!"

Archambeault is the first EHL player to commit to the Falcons this season, and the 21st player in league history. Overall, the Avalanche have 11 games in the 2019-20 regular season, as they make a run at 3rd straight EHL Championship.
