League Footprint to Cover 2 New Markets Next Season

BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) is pleased to announce two new franchises that will be kicking off their inaugural season this fall. Pending USA Hockey final approval, the Keene Eclipse (Keene, NH) and the Protec Ducks (Somerset, NJ), will be joining the EHL for its 8th year. The Eclipse will field teams in both the EHL and the EHLP, while the Ducks will have just one team playing out of the EHL level.

The Keene Eclipse (Keene, NH) and the Protec Ducks (Somerset, NJ), will be joining the EHL for its 8th year in 2020-21.

"I speak for the Board of Governors welcoming the Protec Jr. Ducks and Keen Eclipse as members of the league," said the EHL's Executive Director, Mike Santos. "The EHL is excited about bringing its highly respected brand of junior hockey to Somerset, NJ and Keene, NH. Both locations are great homes for our student-athletes and future NCAA hockey players."

With over 1000 NCAA Commitments since 2013, the EHL has established itself as the leader in Direct-To-College Advancement at the Division II and III level. Over 90% of the leagues commitments have advanced to Division II and III programs, and these alumni continue to develop and excel throughout their collegiate careers.

To go along with the NCAA Commitments, the EHL has also helped over 75 players work their way up the USA Hockey Ladder of Development to the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and the United States Hockey League (USHL).

Please join the EHL in welcoming two new members of USA Hockey, the Ducks and the Eclipse.
