Wolves Forward Set to Join Bears this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Jack Loran, a forward for the New England Wolves, has committed to SUNY Potsdam for the fall of 2020.

The '99 native of Massena, NY joined the Wolves for his first and only season of junior hockey, following a pair of prep school years at the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Western Massachusetts. This past season with the Wolves, Loran averaged more than a point per game with 30 goals and 19 assists. It's also worth noting that Loran dressed in all 47 total games for his team.

"Jack established himself this year as a top goal scorer in the EHL," said Wolves head coach Tim Kunes. "He had a goal coming in to the season to play in the SUNYAC, and we're extremely happy to have helped him accomplish that. He's a hard worker and a great kid, and I'm very happy for him."

Loran is the 4th NCAA Commitment of the season for the Wolves, and the 17th player in league history to choose SUNY Potsdam. This fall, he will team up with a pair of former opponents in Victor Nikiforov (New Hampshire Avalanche) and Tyler Lisieski (Vermont Lumberjacks), as the trio of EHL alums are part of a strong incoming freshmen class for the Bears.

In total, there are currently 22 EHL players from this past season that have committed to schools in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) for this upcoming fall. Overall, since the EHL was formed in 2013, over 120 players have committed to schools in the SUNYAC, a conference recognized as being one of the most competitive at the NCAA Division III level.
