Building Off of a Solid Inaugural Season

BOSTON, MA -- Our Team of the Week features continue this week, highlighting a program that is coming off of a solid inaugural campaign in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

Brett Tryder is leading the way again this year, as the Seacoast Spartans embark on their 2nd season in the EHL. After putting up 17 wins and 10 NCAA Commitments during their inaugural campaign, Tryder is ready to see his team take another strong step forward this upcoming year. Overall, this will be Tryder's 3rd season serving as a Head Coach in the league, and in his mind, recruiting has only gotten easier over the years.

"Our organization takes great pride in being members of the EHL," said Tryder. "Our proximity to NCAA programs and our consistency in preparing athletes for college hockey, have proven to be a great combination. The EHL is, without question, a players-first league. There is a clear understanding that the northeast hockey world is a tight group and with that comes a pressure to do things the right way."

You can definitely say that the Spartans are doing things the right way so far, as they have the look and feel of a program that has been in the league since its inception back in 2013.
