BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are pleased to announce a new partnership with Hockey Night in Boston (HNIB).
As part of the agreement, the EHL and HNIB have named Kyle McKenna as the first-ever Beat Writer of the #Eshow.
McKenna, a native of New Jersey, played for the Philadelphia Revolution a few years prior (2009-2011) to EHL taking on the name that it holds today.
Following his playing career, McKenna quickly jumped into the communications field, growing his experience in the industry with the New Jersey Devils (Communications Assistant), the Tampa Bay Lightning (Community Hockey Assistant), and at the 2018 World Junior Championship (Media Relations Assistant). Most recently, McKenna spent this past season (2019-20) serving as the Communications Manager for the Revolution.
"I met Kyle at the beginning of this past season, when he returned to the Revolution," said Neil Ravin, the #Eshow's Director of Communications. "I was immediately impressed with Kyle's passion for the game and for the league. As the conversation was unfolding with HNIB, it became abundantly clear that there was no one better suited to bring in for this role."
Be sure to follow McKenna on Twitter for constant news and updates regarding the EHL and EHLP throughout the 2020-21 season.
