Perfect Start for the Avalanche Sends Two-Time Champions into Top Spot

BOSTON, MA -- The 2020-21 season is officially underway in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League (EHLP), and there is only a small handful of teams who have been unable to play a game yet this year.

As for the action that has taken place, combined between the two divisions, 48% of the games have been decided by two goals or less, with eight of those games needing either overtime or a shootout to determine a winner.

In the EHL, the New Hampshire Avalanche and the New England Wolves are each out to perfect 3-0-0 starts, which helped account for the only changes in the Week #1 Power Rankings.

As for the EHLP, the Boston Jr Rangers won their first two games of the year and the New Hampshire Avalanche followed their EHL team up with a perfect 3-0-0 start of their own.

Just like how the Wolves solid start helped them crack their way in the EHL Power Rankings, a near-perfect start for the New Jersey Renegades has helped that franchise get inside the EHLP Power Rankings for the first time in team history.

Below you'll find the full set of EHL and EHLP Power Rankings, following the first full week of the 2020-21 season.
