87's Take Over Top Spot in the EHL

BOSTON, MA -- We've already checked off one month of the 2020-21 season, as the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) have each turned their calendars over to October.

In the EHL, a new week brings with it the 3rd different team to hold the top spot in the Power Rankings. With wins over the Philadelphia Little Flyers and the Protec Jr Ducks, the New Jersey 87s are the new #1 team, sitting at a perfect 4-0-0.

A huge upset victory for the Valley Jr Warriors over the New Hampshire Avalanche, also helped shake up the order of rankings #2, #3, and #4, as the Avs and Boston Jr Rangers slid back, and the Vermont Lumberjacks leapfrogged forward.

Finally, just like the 87's, Team Maryland also owns a perfect 4-0-0 record for the year, and takes over the #5 slot for the first time this season.

As for the EHLP, there are not as many changes, as the order remains the same with the Boston Jr Rangers, the New Jersey 87s, and New Hampshire Avalanche. As for the #4 slot however, the Philadelphia Little Flyers grabbed a big overtime victory against the 87's on Saturday night, to help climb their way back inside the top-four.

Below you'll find the full set of the latest EHL and EHLP Power Rankings.
