Winning Streak Powers Express into Top-5

BOSTON, MA -- We've reached November in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP), with temperatures dropping and the action picking up in both divisions.

EHL

Kicking things off in the EHL, the top-ranked New Jersey 87s improved their record up to 10-0-1 with a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Little Flyers on Friday.

The New Hampshire Avalanche remain at #2 with a mark of 6-1-0 in their first seven games. With rinks opening back up in the Granite State, the Avalanche are set to take on the Seacoast SpartansConnecticut Chiefs, and Railers Jr Hockey Club this week.

Holding steady at #3, the Boston Jr Rangers just finished off a perfect 8-0-0 month of October, moving all the way up to 1st place in the New England Conference. The defending Regular Season Champions will look to extend their winning streak up to nine games when they travel to take on the Spartans on Friday.

Coming in at #4, the Walpole Express own the 2nd longest active winning streak in the league, at five games. The recent stretch pushes Walpole back inside the top-five for the first time since the Nexlevel Preseason Power Rankings. The Express will look to remain red-hot when they take on the East Coast Wizards in a home-and-home series this upcoming weekend
.

Wrapping things up, the #5 Vermont Lumberjacks won't get back to work until the 13th and 14th when they matchup with the Avalanche for a huge two-game series in New Hampshire.

EHLP

As for the EHLP, the New Hampshire Avalanche also hold steady at #1, with the only undefeated record in the league.

At #2 the Walpole Express moved up a spot after they won their 3rd game in a row on Sunday by the final score of 5-1 over the New England Wolves. The win also helped Walpole extend their stretch of earning at least a point in five of their last six contests.

The #3 Boston Jr Rangers also move up one slot, as they've totally avenged their shootout loss at the hands of the Maine Eclipse, earlier this season. After dropping that contest by the score of 1-0, the Rangers have responded with wins of 9-2 and 6-0 over the North Division opponent.

Wrapping things up at #4, the New Jersey 87s dropped two spots after being shut out by the Philadelphia Little Flyers on Saturday night. However, the team did hold onto their place in the top-four by earning a split with their South Division rival on Sunday.
