The 2000-born native of Winfield, NJ is in his 2nd season with the 87's organization, having climbed the ladder from the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) to the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) for his final year of junior hockey. After tallying 20 points in 42 total games during the 2019-20 season in the EHLP, Carter has a pair of goals to his credit in 10 EHL games so far this year.

"It's great, honest hard work, from him going from Premier to the EHL and earning himself a commitment at the Division III level," said 87's head coach and general manager Adam Houli. "He was an older kid in the Premier, but he knew he needed to get back to his game and develop the right way to give himself a shot in his final year, and he was able to do just that."

Carter goes in the books as the 18th NCAA commitment in team history for the 87's, and the first player to choose Framingham State. Carter is beyond grateful of the opportunity the 87's gave him, and is excited to have this weight off of his shoulders.

"It has been a dream of mine for a long time, and to finally get that commitment after two years here with the 87's, that's a great feeling," said Carter. "They've [Houli and Matt Kiernan] helped me tremendously. I came here as an average player, and I'm going to leave this program as the best player I've ever been."

Carter and the 87's have officially hit the holiday break, with an overall record of 18-1-2, which puts New Jersey firmly at the top of the Mid-Atlantic Conference standings.
