Wolves Forward Set to Join Rams this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Sergei Anisimov, a forward for the New England Wolves, has committed to Suffolk University for the fall of 2021.

The 2000-born native of Russia joined the Wolves on November 1st, and in 31 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games to date, he's averaged exactly a point per game with 12 goals and 19 assists to his credit.

"Sergei is a big and strong forward, who has the ability to play up and down a lineup," said Wolves general manager Andrew Trimble. "He has been a terrific addition to our locker room culture, and we wish him continued success at the college level."

Anisimov will be joining a freshmen class at Suffolk that includes two other players from the EHL, as he will be teaming up with Joe Lizotte of the Railers Jr Hockey Club and Connor Thomas of the New Hampshire Avalanche. Overall, Anisimov is the 22nd player in league history to choose Suffolk.

Anisimov and the Wolves will now enter the playoffs as the #2 seed in the North Division, and with only four teams located in the state of New Hampshire, their first playoff game will take place in the Second Round of the EHL Playoffs.

In a little less than two weeks, Anisimov and the Wolves will match-up with the rival Lumberjacks Hockey Club in a best-off-three Second Round series.
