The 2000-born native of Bernardsville, NJ joined the Ducks in mid-November of this past season, and in 31 total games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Tartaglione averaged just under a point per game with an even 15 goals and 15 assists.

"We couldn’t be happier for Tags, he was a player that came in from day one and made an impact on our team's offense," said Ducks head coach and general manager Terry Watt. "He did his speaking on the score sheet with some big-time game-winning goals towards the end of the season.”

Tartaglione now joins an incoming freshmen class at Lake Forest that includes two other players from the EHL. While Tyler Buonopane and Connor Sullivan each lined up for the Connecticut RoughRiders against Tartaglione and the Ducks this past year, the South Division foes will turn into teammates this fall.

“I am extremely honored and excited to announce my commitment to play college hockey and further my education at Lake Forest College," said Tartaglione. "I want to thank my family and friends for helping me along the way with the early morning skates and traveling across the US to play the sport I love. I would not have become the person or player I am today. Without them, my dream of playing college hockey could not be possible. Also, I want to thank all my past coaches that helped me develop into a strong and confident person and hockey player. As well, I would like to thank all my teammates throughout the years for the incredible journey. I am excited for the next four years at Lake Forest and looking forward to becoming a Forester.”

The talented playmaker went on to talk about his experience in the EHL, and how it the level of play has him feeling prepared for the next level.

“The EHL is a strong and competitive league that prepares its players for the next level," added Tartaglione. "On any giving day, you must be on your game because if you don’t show up to play anyone can win. The league is extremely organized and works hard to help its players achieve their goals.”
