RoughRiders Defenseman Set to Join Foresters this Fall

NORWALK, CT -- Connor Sullivan, a defenseman for the Connecticut RoughRiders, has committed to Lake Forest College for the fall of 2021.

The '01 native of Yorktown, NY recently finished his first and only season with the RoughRiders, and Sullivan averaged just under a point per game in Connecticut, with eight goals and 13 assists in 23 total contests in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

"Connor is a confident, mobile defenseman playing two-ways and can control the pace of the game and log big minutes," said RoughRiders head coach and general manager Eric Lind. "He is a shifty defenseman that understands when to rush and when to stay home and engages himself well physically. On the power-play he walks the line well and shows great poise in puck possession.”

Overall, Sullivan is one of four EHL players heading to Lake Forest this fall, as he will be joined by Connor Tartaglione of the Protec Jr DucksJakob Wepman of the Seacoast Spartans, and his 2020-21 RoughRiders' teammate, Tyler Buonopane.

Despite have a year of junior hockey eligibility still remaining, Sullivan is ready to make the jump now, and join the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) this fall.
