BOSTON, MA -- The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are pleased to announce a new partnership with MyGuru.
Founded in 2010 to deliver customized 1-1 tutoring in Chicago, IL, MyGuru has grown into one of the most highly rated in-person and online providers of 1-1 and small group academic tutoring and test prep for high school, college, and graduate school admissions exams (e.g., ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and more). Its team of experienced, highly trained tutors takes a personalized, skills-based approach to help students improve their grades or boost their test scores.
"Whenever I am talking with players and families about their future, I always make it a point to emphasize the importance of academics," said Neil Ravin, the Associate Commissioner of the EHL. "Whether you're looking to join the EHL or already in the EHL, you have the power to improve your test scores, and thus align yourself in a better position to advance onto college. Along with all of the coaches in the league, we make sure everyone realizes that it's all about being a STUDENT and an ATHLETE when you're in the EHL."
MyGuru is a company that feels the same exact way.
“Over the past decade MyGuru has methodically carved out a niche as a premium, yet affordable, provider of 1-1 test prep solutions” said Mark Skoskiewicz, MyGuru’s founder and CEO. “My experience with high level youth and junior hockey makes me excited about the prospect of supporting EHL players, or their friends and families, perform at their best on these critically important standardized exams. Of course moving up the competitive ladder and eventually obtaining an NCAA scholarship in ice hockey requires continuously building your on ice skills and off ice strength, but your academic resume, grades and test scores both, can open doors as well.”
For those players that are interested in taking advantage of MyGuru's services during the offseason, please contact Mark Skoskiewicz via E-Mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
