BOSTON, MA -- Were just four days away from another showcase weekend, as all 17 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and 12 Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) teams will be heading to northern Massachusetts for the league-wide event.

Below you'll find the 7th set of weekly top performers in the #EShow. The forward and defensemen awards are presented by Verbero Hockey, while the goalie honors come courtesy of Vaughn Custom Sports.

EHL STARS OF THE WEEK #7

The EHL is pleased to announce that Michael Tersoni (New Hampshire Avalanche), Victor Malzahn (Boston Jr Rangers), and Jake Essensa (East Coast Wizards) have been named the Top Performers for Week #7.

Tersoni and the Avalanche posted a record of 2-0-1 in their three games this past week, collecting five out of a possible six total points. The productive stretch improved New Hampshire's overall record up to 9-2-3 for the year, as they also increased their lead in the North Division standings.

As for the '01 native of Framingham, MA, Tersoni proved just why he's his team's leading scorer, notching eight total points combined over the three games. With an even four goals and four assists over the course of the week, Tersoni now has 22 total points in 13 total games to date, which ranks him as the 2nd leading scorer in the league. Tersoni and the Avalanche will play host to the Vermont Lumberjacks on Thursday, before facing-off with the New Jersey 87s and the Valley Jr Warriors at the showcase.

Speaking of players leading their respective teams in scoring, Malzahn is tied with forward Will Halecki at the top of the Rangers' scoring charts. As for the performance put on this past week by the '02 native of Corona del Mar, CA, Malzahn scored the game-winning goal and notched an assist against the Walpole Express on Friday night. He then followed up that performance with a pair of assists against the Valley Jr Warriors on Sunday.

The four-point weekend helped the Rangers extend their winning streak out to nine games, the longest active streak in the league. Coming up at the showcase, Malzahn and the Rangers will take on the Protec Jr Ducks on Sunday and the Railers Jr Hockey Club on Monday.

Putting a bow on things in goal, and the Wizards have continued to roll with their three-man goaltending unit. Essensa got the nod against Walpole on Thursday, and the '02 native of Danvers, MA earned his first shutout of the season while turning aside all 35 shots that were sent his way. For the season, Essensa now owns a record of 3-1-0.

As for East Coast's upcoming schedule, after traveling to take on the Railers on Thursday, the Wizards will face-off with the Philadelphia Little Flyers and Ducks at the showcase, while trying to not look ahead to the huge home-and-home showdown they have with the Rangers on November 12th and 13th.

EHLP STARS OF THE WEEK #7

The EHLP is pleased to announce that Christopher Lawson (Railers Jr Hockey Club), Sebastian Morris (Boston Jr Rangers), and John Fox (New Jersey 87s) have been named the Top Performers for Week #6.

Lawson and the Railers continued their dominant start to the season by winning both of their games this past weekend by a combined score of 11-0. As for the '02 native of Southern Pines, NC, Lawson played a role in nearly half of his team's goals, finding the back of the net twice and dishing out a trio of assists. With the five-point weekend, Lawson now has eight points in 10 total games to date.

Looking ahead to this weekend, and the Railers will take their three-game winning streak and shutout streak into a pair of showcase matchups against the New Jersey Renegades and the New Jersey 87s.

Back on the blue line, Morris and the Rangers hit the ice for just a single game this past weekend, as they took care of business while earning a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. The '04 native of Lakeland, FL collected a pair of assists in the contest, increasing his point total up to six for the year.

Morris and the Rangers also have a matchup with the Renegades on the docket this week, but they'll face-off with the Valley Jr Warriors first, kicking off the showcase on Saturday morning.

Last, but certainly not least, Fox and the 87's split their two-game series with the New Hampshire Avalanche. The '04 native of Manalapan, NJ earned his 3rd victory of the year in the series opener, turning aside 41 of the 43 shots that were sent his way. His 40-plus save performance was his 2nd of the season, and it's worth noting that in all three of his victories Fox has made at least 35 saves.

Fox and the 87's have three games on the schedule this weekend, as they take on the Connecticut Chiefs on Saturday, the Railers on Sunday morning, and the Walpole Express on Sunday afternoon.
