New EHLP Team Set to Launch in Exton, PA

BOSTON, MA -- With the conclusion of the Mid-Winter Meetings for USA Hockey, the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) is pleased to officially welcome in the PA Huntsmen for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

The Huntsmen will become the 15th member of the EHLP and will operate out of Power Play Rinks in Exton, PA.

The foundation for what they are building is centered around their culture. The Pennsylvania Huntsmen players, coaches and front office will aim their sights on development, education, professionalism and advancement. Their collegiate hockey connections, player development staff and management have years of experience and look forward to the players benefiting from that during their time in Exton.

“We are excited to join the EHL Premier division for the upcoming season," said Zach Overholtzer, the General Manager of the Huntsmen. "Power Play Rinks out of Exton, PA has been home to Junior Hockey in the past and the timing was right for the EHL and our management team to join the league. We were impressed with the way the league operates and the level of play we witnessed. The Mid-Atlantic hockey market is craving for opportunity, development and exposure. Our players and their families have invested their time and effort into their goals of playing NCAA hockey. They deserve a local opportunity to expose their talents to a national audience and we are proud to provide them with that opportunity."

The Huntsmen are positioned to build a roster of players from any location. They have established a billet program and have brought experienced billet families on board to “join the hunt” for NCAA hockey. High School-aged players have multiple options to continue their education while relocating and dedicating time to pursing their dream. The Huntsmen have partnered with virtual and hybrid schooling organizations. Billets and local players looking to manage the balance of school and hockey have access to many resources, as the organization knows this is critical to players pursuing NCAA hockey and they want to provide them with any and all resources to make them successful in doing so.
