#EShow Releases Fifth Set of Monthly Honors for 2021-22 Season

BOSTON, MA -- We've checked off another month, as we move that much closer to the start of the postseason in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP).

Below you'll find the 5th set of monthly award winners in the #EShow. The forward and defenseman awards are presented by Verbero Hockey, while the goalie recognition comes courtesy of Vaughn Custom Sports.

EHL STARS OF THE MONTH

The EHL is pleased to announce that Jordan Comilla (Philadelphia Little Flyers), Tyler Anastasi (Railers Jr Hockey Club), and Ronan Mobley (New Hampshire Avalanche) have been named the January Stars of the Month.

Comilla and the Little Flyers posted a record of 7-2-2 in the month of January, losing their first four and then winning their next seven. As for the '02 native of New Boston, MI, Comilla was one of the leaders for his team offensively adding 18 points to his season total. The productive month nearly doubled his point total for the year, as he entered January with 19 to his credit. Comilla was held off of the scoresheet just a single time in the opening month of the 2022 calendar year.

Now, looking forward to February, Philadelphia begins the new month locked in a tie with Team Maryland for 2nd place in the South Division. However, the good part for Comilla and the Little Flyers is that they still own at least a single game in hand over all three other teams they are battling with for playoff positioning.

Anastasi and the Railers had an up and down month of January, finishing with a record of 5-4-0 in their nine total games. As for the '02 native of Andover, MA, Anastasi finished January with three goals and five assists to his credit. For the season, Anastasi now has 26 points in 32 total games to date.

Looking forward, the Railers are closing in on securing the #1 seed in the Central Division, as they currently hold a 12-point lead over the 2nd-place Connecticut Chiefs. Worcester and the Chiefs still have four regular season matchups remaining before the start of the postseason.

Wrapping things up in goal, and Mobley nearly put together a perfect month, only to have it spoiled on the final day. Regardless, the '01 native of Playa Del Rey, CA posted a record of 6-1-0 in the month of January, to go along with a 1.50 GAA and a .949 save percentage. Overall, his record for the season stands at 22-4-2, with a 1.36 GAA, a .943 save percentage, and six shutouts.

Mobley and the Avalanche have officially secured the #1 seed in the North Division playoffs, so now they will turn their attention towards securing a Regular Season Championship, which would be the program's first in franchise history. Whether or not that comes to fruition is not the main goal however, as the Avalanche have their sights set on Providence, RI and earning some revenge at the 2022 EHL Frozen Finals.

EHLP STARS OF THE MONTH

The EHLP is pleased to announce that Trent King (Vermont Lumberjacks), Sebastian Morris (Boston Jr Rangers), and Jared Packman (New Hampshire Avalanche) have been named the January Stars of the Month.

King and the Lumberjacks put together a 6-2-2 record over the course of their 10 games in the month of January, climbing their way up into 2nd place in the North Division standings. As for the '03 native of Malone, NY, King continued along with his productive year, collecting 10 total points to his credit. For the season, King now has 28 points in 25 total games to date, plus a goal in his EHL debut back on the 16th against the Protec Jr Ducks.

Vermont knows they have special talent in their young playmaker, and he will continue to play a big role for their team as the playoffs approach. Looking forward, King and the Lumberjacks have 10 total regular season games remaining, starting with six contests at home and ending with their final four games on the road.

Morris and the Rangers ended the month of January on an active five-game winning streak, going 6-2-0 in their eight total games. As for the '04 native of Lakeland, FL, the young defenseman collected five total assists throughout the month, giving him 16 total points for the year.

Looking at where things stand in the East Division standings, Morris and the Rangers currently sit in 1st place with a four-point lead over the Railers Jr Hockey Club. It is worth noting however, that the Railers have five games in hand on the Rangers, making the matchup on February 25th possibly the biggest game left on the regular season schedule.

Wrapping things up with another Avalanche goalie, Packman was perfect in net, winning all four of his starts and improving his record up to 9-1-1 for the season. Since joining New Hampshire, and outside of his win/loss record, Packman has put together a pair of additional really solid marks with a 1.80 GAA and a .934 save percentage.

New Hampshire currently sits six points ahead of Vermont at the top of the North, with 10 of their final 13 games remaining against teams chasing them in the standings. Packman will look to continue to be one of the anchors for his team.
