Wizards All-Star Forward Set to Join Hounds this Fall

BEDFORD, MA -- Jake DiNapoli, a forward for the East Coast Wizards, has committed to Assumption University for the fall of 2022.

The '02 native of North Reading, MA is in his first season of junior hockey, and in 24 total Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games to date, DiNapoli has notched nine goals and six assists to his credit.

“We are really excited for Jake," said Wizards head coach and general manager Kory Falite. "He has worked extremely hard since arriving with the Wizards early this summer, and Assumption is gaining a terrific forward and an even better kid.”

DiNapoli goes in the books as the 1st EHL player from the current 2021-22 season to choose Assumption, and the 19th player in league history. With his commitment, the Hounds have now brought in at least one player per year for all nine seasons since the EHL was formed back in 2013.

“I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to Assumption University," said DiNapoli. "! would like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and teachers for making me the student-athlete I am today. Go Hounds!”

With eight games remaining on the regular season schedule, DiNapoli and the Wizards are in a very tight battle for playoff positioning in the East Division.
