Maryland Veteran All-Star Forward Set to Join Rams this Fall

ODENTON, MD -- Evan Donnelly, a forward for Team Maryland, has committed to Framingham State University for the fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Hanover, MD is in his 3rd season with Team Maryland, and through 122 career games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Donnelly has tallied 65 total points to his credit.

"Evan  is the face of TM hockey and represents everything we stand for here," said Maryland head coach and general manager Josh Fusco. "He is a tremendous teammate, leader, and has worn our colors for 3 years with an incredible amount of pride, respect and professionalism. I think his biggest asset is he comes to work everyday and puts the work in, he comes to the rink ready, focused and strives to get better each and every day and it makes the guys around him want to be better as well. I cant thank him and his incredible family enough for the past 3 years and cant wait to, without a doubt, watch him continue his success at Framingham.”

The veteran EHL All-Star goes down as the 33rd player in league history to choose the Rams' hockey program, and the 3rd from the current 2021-22 season. This fall, he will become new teammates with Bobby Bernier and Jack Ennis of the New England Wolves.

Donnelly can't wait to get started this fall, and is beyond grateful for the time he spent with the Team Maryland program.

"This day has been a long time coming and one I have been looking forward to, and I’m extremely excited to be joining the Framingham State hockey program," said Donnelly. "The last three seasons playing under Coach Fusco and in the Team Maryland organization have been so beneficial to my development, I can’t thank Coach, or the organization enough. As well as a huge thank you to my family and friends for all the support in allowing me to chase my dream in playing NCAA hockey."

Donnelly and Team Maryland are battling things out in arguable the toughest division in the league, the South Division. They currently sit in 2nd place, with just five games remaining on their regular season schedule.
