Wolves Veteran Defenseman Set to Join Ravens this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Declan House, a defenseman for the New England Wolves, has committed to Franklin Pierce University (FPU) for the fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Roselle Park, NJ is in his 4th season the Wolves program, and this past week, he reached the 100-point plateau for his career in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

"I am very happy for Declan and his commitment to Franklin Pierce," said Wolves head coach Tim Kunes. "He’s been a top player for our team for multiple years and his game has matured so that FPU will be getting a player who will make an impact at the college level right away."

As Kunes eluded to, House has been one of the Wolves' best players ever since he first arrived back in the 2017-18 season.

Andrew Trimble is the General Manager for the Wolves, and along with the development he's seen in the ice, Trimble also pointed out what House has done in the Laconia community.

"We are extremely proud of Declan's accomplishment and his contributions to our program over the last several years," said Trimble. "He has assisted the Wolves in hundreds of hours of community service, been an integral part of playoff teams, and will forever be a part of the Wolves identity."

It's that identity and culture that House will now look to put his final stamp on, as the Wolves fight for playoff positioning in the North Division. House and his teammates are in a very tight battle with the Vermont Lumberjacks and the Seacoast Spartans, as the three programs fight for the 2nd place slot in the upcoming EHL Playoffs.
