Little Flyers Forward Set to Join Golden Flyers this Fall

ASTON, PA -- Harrison Dumas, a forward for the Philadelphia Little Flyers, has committed to Nazareth College for the fall of 2022.

The '02 native of Hammonton, NJ is in his 1st season with the Little Flyers, after having spent the last three year developing within the program at the 18U and 16U midget levels. Overall, in 27 total Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games to date, Dumas has notched six goals and 20 assists to his credit.

"We are all very happy for Harrison on making his commitment to Nazareth College," said Little Flyers head coach and general manager Mark Catron. "I’ve known him and his family for a very long time and it was great getting to coach him for this season.  Harrison is one of those players that uses his strength and size to his advantage and creates a lot of good things for our team at the offensive end, especially when he is causing chaos in front of the net. Harrison is a very smart kid in the classroom and has a tremendous work ethic, both on the ice and in the weight room.  I know Nazareth is getting a complete player to add to their lineup in the fall and we can’t wait to see him succeed at the next level."

While Dumas goes in the record books as the 25th player in #EShow history to choose Nazareth, he also helped the EHL extend a streak that has been going since the league was formed. With Dumas' commitment, Nazareth has now committed at least one player from the EHL in all nine seasons, dating back to the league's inception in 2013.

“I am excited, honored, and blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic careers at Nazareth College," said Dumas. "I would like to foremost thank my parents, grandparents, brother, and sister for giving me the opportunity to play this game that I love and supporting me in every way possible. I would also like to thank all of my coaches that I have had up to this point because they have shaped me not only as a player but as a person, especially Coach Catron, Coach Dorman, Coach Hodge, and Coach Robichaud. I would also like to thank Coach Roll for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I would like to thank my teammates, especially Chris Blango and TJ Avellino, for training with me and pushing me to be better each day. Lastly, I would like to thank Brother Bob Thornton, OSA for keeping me spiritually, emotionally, and mentally centered throughout this entire process. I am very excited to start the next chapter of my life. Go Golden Flyers!”

Despite being just an '02 with still a year of junior eligibility still remaining, Dumas is ready to make the jump to the next level right now. With this decision made, he can now turn his full attention towards the final stretch, and a chance for the Little Flyers to make it back to the EHL Frozen Finals for the first time since 2019.
