Chiefs Forward Set to Join Raiders this Fall

NEWINGTON, CT -- Ryan Davis, a forward for the Connecticut Chiefs, has committed to Rivier University for the fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Canada chose the Chiefs for his final season of junior hockey, and through 35 total Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games to date, Davis has tallied 13 goals and 10 assists to his credit.

"Ryan is a passionate player who plays with energy and speed," said Chiefs head coach and general manager Greg Heffernan. "He is a character player who bring intensity every night and is a scoring threat. I’m sure he will be a valuable asset for Rivier over the next 4 seasons."

Davis is one of two EHL players that have chosen Rivier so far this season, as he will join up with Billy Hartnett of the Valley Jr Warriors this fall. Through all of the adversity that has been thrown his way, Davis is beyond grateful to have reached this accomplishment.

"I am very excited and honored to be joining Rivier next year and continuing my hockey and academics," said Davis. "I would like to thank Coach Heffernan for all that he’s done for us and giving our team the best opportunities and exposure he can. I also want to thank my teammates, family, and all my coaches for helping me get to this point.”

Davis and the Chiefs have officially locked up 2nd place in the Central Division, which means they have the home-ice advantage when they take on the Connecticut RoughRiders in the First Round of the EHL Playoffs.
