Rangers Forward Set to Join Owls this Fall

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Julian Boisclair, a forward for the Boston Jr Rangers, has committed to Westfield State University (WSU) for the fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Vorhees, NJ came to the Rangers for his final season of junior hockey, and through 42 total games in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), Boisclair has tallied 12 goals and 11 assists to his credit. It's also worth noting that five of the 12 goals that he has scored have stood up as game-winners for his team.

“Julian is a very hard-working guy that has a bright future ahead of him,” said Rangers head coach and general manager Rich DeCaprio. "He is a strong skater and will be a huge asset to Westfield State for the next four years.”

The Owls are building a strong incoming freshmen class that not includes four players from the EHL. This fall, Boisclair will team up with Nicolas Coppola of the New Hampshire Avalanche, plus Cooper Board and Danny Finegan from the Seacoast Spartans.

“I am super excited about going to college, after playing juniors for the past two years and getting back to being a ‘normal’ student once again," said Boisclair.

The veteran forward then went on to express his gratitude to everyone that helped him reach this goal that he had set many years ago.

"If it wasn’t for Coach DeCaprio, I definitely would not be where I am now," added Boisclair. "He connected me to any coach I was interested in and assisted me with all of my decisions. I also would like to thank my parents, my trainer Joe DeMarco, and all of my past coaches for the help along the way."

After beating the New England Wolves earlier this afternoon, Boisclair and the Rangers have put themselves in a position to win the franchise's 2nd-ever EHL Regular Season Championship. They will now look to turn that possibility into a reality, when they host the Avalanche at 11:50 am.
