Apple Core Forward Set to Join Eagles this Fall

BREWSTER, NY -- Nick Weber, a forward for the New York Apple Core, has committed to Post University for the fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Woodbury, MN recently finished his 2nd and final season with the Apple Core, and over the course of his Eastern Hockey League (EHL) career, Weber tallied 72 points in 79 total games.

"We are excited to see Nick and his family commit to Post," said Apple Core interim head coach Joe Wegwerth. "Nick has taken his game to another level this season and has emerged as a legitimate threat whenever he's on the ice. As an organization we are happy to see Weber commit to a school in our area and look forward to seeing him whenever he's around."

As Wegwerth mentioned, Weber took his game to a new level this season, and his point production proves just that. After posting 12 total points in the 2020-21 season, Weber went out and racked up 60 points with 29 goals and 43 assists this year

"I am excited to announce my commitment to Post University," said Weber. "I’m grateful for Post and the opportunity they are giving me to play at the next level. I want to thank everyone in the New York Apple Core organization for helping me progress as a person and as a player. I also want to thank my teammates for making coming to the rink every day enjoyable and my last year of juniors truly memorable. I’m excited to get started with Post University and wish the best to the Apple Core moving forward.”
