Wolves Goaltender Joining Pair of Teammates this Fall

LACONIA, NH -- Liam Kilgallen, a goaltender for the New England Wolves, has committed to Framingham State University for the fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Brighton, MA is in his 2nd season with the Wolves, and in total, Kilgallen has 14 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) wins under his belt.

"Liam has shown great resiliency during his two seasons with the Wolves," said Wolves head coach Tim Kunes. "In the second half of this current season he has established himself as a top goaltender in the league. He’s a great teammate and a great pick up for Framingham.”

Kilgallen adds his name to what is now a five-person class of EHL players that are heading off to join the Rams this fall. Alongside his teammates Bobby Bernier and Jack Ennis, the trio of Wolves will meet up with Jake Barcelou of the Railers Jr Hockey Club and Evan Donnelly of Team Maryland when they arrive on campus this fall.

As Kunes mentioned before, Kilgallen has taken the net in the 2nd half of this season, and look no further than his 11-game winning streak for proof. That run paid huge dividends in the Wolves securing the #2 seed in the North Division, and additional admiration from Andrew Trimble, the General Manager of the Wolves.

"Liam is a player that has persevered and maximized on his opportunity," said Trimble. "He continues to get better each and every day with our program. We anticipate him doing the same at FSU."

Kilgallen and the Wolves hit the ice next on Friday when they head south to take on the Boston Jr Rangers in the Wild Card Round, with a trip to the 2022 EHL Frozen Finals on the line.
