Seahawks All-Star Defenseman Set to Join Lions this Fall

SOUTH DENNIS, MA -- Kyle Lee, a defenseman for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to Finlandia University for the fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Buffalo, NY played out his entire junior hockey career with the Seahawks, and over the course of 94 total Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games, Lee tallied 18 total points to his credit.

"We are happy to see Kyle find the right fit for himself both academically and athletically for the next four years," said Seahawks head coach and general manger Bill Zaniboni. "Kyle was a three-year veteran of the Seahawks, and he showed up every day and worked to get better; he had a great mindset, and was willing to do whatever the team needed him to do. Kyle is a great example of what we want out of our group and culture from on the ice to off the ice."

As Zaniboni mentioned, Lee displayed consistent levels of improvement throughout his time in the EHL. This development was first recognized this year, when Lee was selected to the All-Star Team for the EHL College Series against Curry College and UMass Boston.

The second, and final recognition of the gains Lee made on the ice, can be found in this well-earn accomplishment. The 6'2" leader on the back end is one of three EHL players that will be heading off to Finlandia this fall, as he will team up with Connor Nagy from the New York Apple Core and Owen Schmidt from Team Maryland.
